Credit Team Leader

About the role

Stellar Staffing is seeking a Credit Team Leader to manage a team of Credit Analysts who support Australian mortgage brokers. The role involves overseeing daily loan processing, ensuring compliance, and driving team performance while collaborating with the Credit Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Coach, support, and lead a team of Credit Associates.
• Monitor daily workflows and ensure smooth operations.
• Provide feedback, mentoring, and regular performance reviews.
• Oversee loan assessments and ensure compliance with lending policies.
• Support brokers with complex scenarios and credit recommendations.
• Manage CRM and lender data entry and documentation.
• Coordinate with the Credit Manager on training and team development.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in the Australian mortgage industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of loan processing, compliance, and credit assessment.
• Experience with CRM platforms such as Mercury (M5/Nexus), MyCRM, Infynity ApplyOnline, Podium.
• Analytical thinker with excellent problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communicator with a proactive, supportive leadership style.
• Highly organized, time‑efficient, and committed to team success.
• Genuinely cares for people and supports their growth.
