Databricks Developer – Azure Cloud Data Engineer (Healthcare)

About the role

The Cloud Data Engineer will design, build and maintain data pipelines on Azure Databricks to deliver reliable, high‑quality data for clinical, operational and analytical teams. The role supports the Enterprise Data Warehouse and focuses on ingestion, transformation and Lakehouse development within a healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain batch and streaming ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark, Spark SQL and Databricks notebooks.
• Implement Delta Lake tables, manage schema evolution, and optimise performance with OPTIMIZE, Z‑ORDER and VACUUM.
• Orchestrate workflows with Databricks Jobs and integrate them with Azure Data Factory for end‑to‑end pipeline execution.
• Collaborate with clinical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into data models and curated datasets (bronze/silver/gold).

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience designing and implementing data models and cloud data engineering solutions.
• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark and Delta Lake.
• Experience building pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., SNOMED CT, LOINC) is a plus.

What we offer

• Annual salary range : 1,200,000 – 2,400,000 NPR
• On‑site work schedule : 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
