About the role

The UN Resident Coordinator's Office in Nepal seeks a Digital Content Creator to strengthen its digital presence for young, mobile‑first audiences. Working onsite at UN premises, you will produce original short‑form video and graphic content for UN Nepal’s social media channels and support live coverage of UNCT events.

Key responsibilities

• Produce vertical short‑form videos (reels) from concept to export, including scripting, filming, editing, subtitling and sound.
• Design static and animated assets such as carousels, quote cards, infographics and event graphics following UN visual identity.
• Write platform‑tailored copy in Nepali and English and manage the joint content calendar across Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok.
• Cover Resident Coordinator and UNCT events as photographer/videographer, delivering same‑day clips and images.
• Maintain a consent‑compliant digital asset library and compile monthly performance analytics.

Required profile

• Fluent in Nepali and English.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, media studies, film, graphic design, marketing or related field (first‑year enrolment eligible).
• At least one year of demonstrable experience creating digital content for a student body, start‑up, civil‑society organization or personal channel with a genuine audience.
• Portfolio of published work, including a vertical video and a Nepali‑language sample.

Required skills

• Video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut or equivalent.
• Graphic design with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva or Figma.
• Mobile‑first shooting, stabilization, framing for vertical format and clean field audio.
• Basic motion graphics/animation.
• Working knowledge of platform analytics tools such as Meta Business Suite and native insights.
• Understanding of digital accessibility (alt text, burned‑in captions, colour contrast).
