Dispatch and Logistics Officer

About the role

The Dispatch and Logistics Officer will oversee the end‑to‑end dispatch process, ensuring that products are prepared, loaded and delivered according to sales orders and schedules. This role requires close collaboration with sales, production, warehouse and transportation teams to guarantee timely and accurate deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily dispatches based on sales orders and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, Warehouse and Logistics teams to align dispatch activities.
• Ensure products are available, properly arranged for loading, and verified for quantity and accuracy.
• Organise vehicle placement, loading, and delivery timetables.
• Communicate with transporters regarding routes, destinations and any changes.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly dispatch reports.
• Maintain FIFO/FEFO inventory practices throughout the dispatch process.
• Reconcile dispatched quantities with warehouse records and keep accurate dispatch documentation.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in dispatch or logistics operations.
• Strong coordination abilities across sales, production, warehouse and logistics teams.
• Excellent attention to detail for verifying product quantities and maintaining accurate records.

Required skills

• Knowledge of FIFO and FEFO inventory practices.
