District Project Coordinator – SRHR & GBV (Achham, Nepal)

About the role

The District Project Coordinator will lead the implementation of UNFPA‑supported integrated sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and gender‑based violence (GBV) interventions in Achham district. Working closely with provincial, district and local authorities, the incumbent will ensure services are planned, financed, delivered and monitored as an inclusive, rights‑based system.

Key responsibilities

• Support policy advocacy, planning and budgeting processes, helping municipalities integrate SRHR and GBV priorities into plans and budgets.
• Coordinate programme implementation across districts, liaising with government agencies, implementing partners, WHO and UNFPA technical teams.
• Monitor service quality, conduct field visits, document results and facilitate learning and reporting.
• Promote safeguarding, risk management and humanitarian preparedness, ensuring a safe and inclusive working environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating SRHR and GBV programmes at sub‑national level.
• Strong knowledge of Nepal’s health, gender and social inclusion policies and ability to engage with government and partners.
• Excellent monitoring, reporting and advocacy skills, with experience in multisectoral referral pathways.
