District Project Coordinator – SRHR & GBV (Morang, Nepal)

About the role

The District Project Coordinator will facilitate the implementation of UNFPA‑supported integrated sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and gender‑based violence (GBV) interventions across Morang district and its municipalities. The role requires regular engagement with provincial, district and local authorities, coordination of implementing partners, monitoring programme quality, and supporting timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on support to municipalities to integrate SRHR, GBV prevention, gender equality and social inclusion priorities into plans, budgets and expenditure reviews.
• Coordinate programme activities across assigned districts, maintaining liaison with local governments, implementing partners, WHO, UNFPA technical teams and service‑delivery actors.
• Monitor the quality and inclusiveness of trainings, community initiatives and service‑strengthening activities, ensuring alignment with rights‑based, survivor‑centred and disability‑inclusive approaches.
• Facilitate the mapping, updating and practical use of multisectoral referral pathways linking health facilities, safe houses, justice, police and social protection services.
• Conduct regular field and joint monitoring visits, document results, lessons learned and risks, and support learning and donor reporting.
• Promote a respectful, inclusive and safe working environment and support partners in applying safeguarding and humanitarian preparedness measures.
