District Project Coordinator – SRHR & GBV (Sarlahi, Nepal)

The District Project Coordinator will lead the implementation of UNFPA‑supported integrated sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and gender‑based violence (GBV) interventions across assigned districts and municipalities in Sarlahi, Nepal. Reporting to the UNFPA Provincial Head, the incumbent will work closely with provincial, district and local authorities, implementing partners, WHO and other stakeholders to ensure that SRHR and GBV services are planned, financed, delivered and monitored as an integrated, rights‑based system. Key duties include supporting policy advocacy, budgeting and planning at the sub‑national level; facilitating coordination among health, gender, education and finance sectors; monitoring programme quality and inclusiveness; conducting field visits and joint monitoring; documenting results and lessons learned; and promoting safeguarding and humanitarian preparedness. The role requires strong knowledge of SRHR, GBV prevention and response, government budgeting processes, and multisectoral referral pathways, as well as experience in coordinating development programmes, engaging diverse stakeholders and ensuring compliance with protection and safeguarding standards.
