Export Manager – International Business Development

About the role

The Export Manager will lead the company’s international business development by creating and executing export sales strategies that align with overall objectives. You will be responsible for identifying new markets, building relationships with distributors and key accounts, and overseeing the full export order cycle from order receipt to payment collection.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement export sales strategies, targeting new international markets, distributors, importers, wholesalers and retail customers.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual export sales and profitability targets, preparing country‑wise sales plans and forecasts.
• Appoint, manage and monitor distributors, agents and key accounts, creating joint business plans and promotional activities.
• Handle the complete export order process, coordinating with production, planning, warehouse, quality, finance, logistics and documentation teams.
• Prepare export pricing based on product cost, freight, duties, taxes, margins and market conditions, and review profitability by country, customer and product.
• Identify market‑specific product requirements, work with marketing and product development on packaging, labeling and private‑label opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, Supply Chain or related field; MBA/PGDM preferred.
• 5–10 years of experience in FMCG exports, international sales or international business.
• Strong knowledge of export documentation, logistics and international trade practices.
• Proven track record of managing overseas distributors, importers and key customers.
