Field Operations Manager – West Field Office

About the role

The Field Operations Manager for the West Field Office (WFO) in Dhangadhi will lead and oversee all programme delivery, sponsorship commitments, partner management and financial stewardship for World Vision International Nepal. The role ensures operational continuity, risk management and achievement of annual targets aligned with the organization’s FY26‑30 strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of sponsorship, integrated program framework, private non‑sponsorship and grant programmes, ensuring efficient performance of staff and partner NGOs.
• Lead planning, budgeting, monitoring, reporting and evaluation of projects, and manage partner NGOs to keep activities on schedule and within approved agreements.
• Recruit, set performance goals, coach and mentor the Field Office team, and ensure alignment with WVI Nepal policies and talent development.
• Maintain relationships with provincial governments, partner NGOs, target communities and other stakeholders, facilitating regular meetings, action‑plan follow‑up and capacity‑building.
• Identify, assess and mitigate operational, safeguarding, security and reputational risks, and ensure compliance with internal policies and donor regulations.
• Provide strategic input to organizational planning, promote learning and feedback mechanisms, and integrate cross‑cutting themes such as gender, inclusion and protection into programmes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5–7 years of leadership or management experience in the development or humanitarian sector.
• Strong understanding of poverty issues, development theories and sustainable development practices.
• Proven ability to communicate vision, motivate teams, and inspire commitment to organisational objectives.
• Experience in programme management, budgeting, monitoring & evaluation and partnership coordination.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and risk‑management skills.
