Finance Manager – Remote, $100k/year

About the role

Most finance managers gradually stop doing finance as their calendars fill with meetings and admin tasks. This role takes the opposite path: you will run global finance operations through a team of Senior Accountants while staying close enough to the work to ensure accuracy. You will inspect invoices, payments, reconciliations and turn findings into coaching to prevent repeat errors.

Key responsibilities

• Keep finance operations moving through Senior Accountants, prioritizing work based on deadlines, business impact, dependencies, and financial risk.
• Inspect finance dashboards and completed work to ensure invoices, payments, bank transactions, reconciliations, control accounts, revenue and spend allocations are accurate.
• Diagnose quality failures, identify root causes, and write evidence‑based coaching to correct and prevent errors.
• Identify and embed AI, LLMs and automation tools to eliminate manual work and improve speed and accuracy.
• Build and lead a high‑performing finance operations team that consistently delivers accurate, timely finance outputs.

Required profile

• A degree in Accounting or Finance and a recognized professional qualification (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Experience on at least five audits involving a Big 4 firm, either as auditor or client.
• Finance experience in an organization with at least $100 M USD revenue and hands‑on exposure to AP, AR, bank reconciliations and revenue allocation.
• People‑management experience with direct responsibility for finance professionals.
• Proven ability to prioritize operational finance work, manage deadlines and resolve blockers.
• Demonstrated experience embedding AI or LLM tools into high‑volume finance transaction workflows.
