FreeCAD Specialist (Remote Contractor)

About the role

This is an hourly, remote contractor position where you will act as a FreeCAD Subject Matter Expert. You will design realistic, challenging CAD tasks, document them in SuperAnnotate, and record yourself executing the workflows to support AI training.

Key responsibilities

• Create realistic FreeCAD tasks that cover sketching, constraints, Part Design, assemblies, technical drawings, exports, or troubleshooting.
• Prepare a fully functional work environment, ensuring FreeCAD and all required files, assets, and reference materials are ready before recording.
• Record clear, step‑by‑step execution of each task on your computer, following project guidelines.
• Document task context, goals, dimensions, files, and notes so reviewers can understand and evaluate the workflow.
• Review recordings and documentation for completeness, realism, and alignment with quality standards before submission.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with FreeCAD for parametric modeling, sketching, constraints, technical drawings, and file exports.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher to understand instructions and produce clear documentation.
• Ability to devise realistic, challenging CAD tasks that reflect real‑world product or mechanical design use cases.
• Strong attention to detail when preparing tasks, executing workflows, and reviewing recordings.
• Self‑directed, reliable, and able to deliver consistent quality across time zones.
