Functional ERP Consultant

About the role

Smarten Technologies is seeking a Functional ERP Consultant to own the journey from As‑Is discovery through post‑go‑live stabilisation. You will act as the primary liaison between client stakeholders and the delivery team, ensuring the ERP system fully supports the client’s business processes and local compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Run discovery workshops, gather requirements and produce BRDs, FSDs, and user stories.
• Map business processes to ERP modules, configure workflows, approvals, access rights, and design customisations.
• Lead UAT, deliver training, create manuals and short videos, and support post‑go‑live stabilisation.
• Coordinate with project managers on scope, timeline, budget and manage change requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration or related field; MBA is a plus.
• 3+ years experience as an ERP Functional Consultant with at least 2 full‑cycle implementations.
• Strong understanding of core business processes in manufacturing, trading/distribution, retail or services.
• Excellent written and spoken English; fluency in Nepali for client workshops.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of ERP modules (Accounting, Sales, CRM, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing, HR & Payroll, Project, eCommerce).
• Proficiency in writing Business Requirements Documents, Functional Specifications and process flowcharts (BPMN).
• Advanced Excel skills, basic SQL querying and report generation tools.
• Familiarity with project‑management tools such as Jira, ClickUp, Trello or MS Project.
