F&V Category Manager

About the role

The F&V Category Manager will lead the Fruits & Vegetables category, overseeing sourcing, purchasing, supplier relationships and product availability across stores. This role ensures high quality, optimal assortment and strong commercial performance in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage product sourcing, purchasing, assortment and stock availability to meet demand.
• Maintain the right product mix and ensure adequate availability across all stores.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors, negotiate pricing and terms, and monitor performance and quality.
• Track market pricing, margins, wastage and implement measures to minimise loss.
• Ensure proper presentation, freshness and standards of F&V products in stores.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in Fruits & Vegetables, Category Management, Retail or FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of F&V products, sourcing, quality assessment and market pricing.
• Understanding of purchasing, inventory, margins, wastage and supplier management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Two‑wheeler and a valid driving licence.
