F&V Category Manager – Retail/FMCG

About the role

The F&V Category Manager will lead the Fruits & Vegetables category, overseeing sourcing, purchasing, supplier relationships and product availability across stores. This role ensures high quality, optimal assortment and strong commercial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage product sourcing, purchasing, assortment and stock availability to meet demand.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors, negotiate pricing and terms, and monitor performance and quality.
• Monitor market pricing, margins, wastage and inventory levels, taking actions to minimise loss.
• Ensure proper presentation and availability of F&V products across all stores and support day‑to‑day operations.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in Fruits & Vegetables, Category Management, Retail or FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of F&V products, sourcing, quality assessment and market pricing.
• Good understanding of purchasing, inventory, margins, wastage and supplier management.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Two‑wheeler and a valid driving licence are mandatory.
