Grant Finance Coordinator

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Grant Finance Coordinator to manage the financial administration of US Government‑funded grants and the Flood Response Project in Kusunti. The role will ensure strong financial controls, accurate reporting and compliance with donor regulations while supporting partner organisations. You will work closely with finance, programme and operations teams to safeguard resources for vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial operations of US Government‑funded grants, monitoring expenditures for allowability, allocability and reasonableness.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, conduct account reconciliations and produce variance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), donor agreements and internal policies, supporting audits and donor reviews.
• Review partner financial reports, conduct monitoring visits and provide capacity‑building guidance.
• Oversee VAT and foreign tax reporting for grant activities, maintaining accurate tax records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Studies or equivalent.
• 3–5 years progressive finance or accounting experience in an NGO/INGO environment.
• 2–3 years direct experience managing US Government‑funded grants (e.g., USAID, BHA).
• Proven ability in grant budgeting, financial reporting and donor compliance.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, accounting principles and ERP systems.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Sun Systems, Vision XL or Executive.
• Use of financial reporting tools for analysis and variance reporting.
