Graphics and Motion Designer

About the role

We are looking for a Creative Specialist with strong graphic design skills to turn Shequal’s programs, stories, and awareness messages into engaging visuals and merchandise. The role involves creating respectful and resonant content on sensitive topics such as menstruation, consent, and gender norms for Nepali audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design social media posts, carousels, stories, and campaign visuals for platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
• Create Shequal merchandise (t‑shirts, tote bags, caps, stickers, notebooks, badges, campaign kits) and prepare print‑ready files for vendors.
• Produce print materials such as posters, flyers, banners, brochures, certificates, and event backdrops.
• Edit videos from field activities, events, and hackathons, handling footage cutting, colour correction, subtitles (Nepali and English), graphics, and music.
• Develop educational visuals and illustrations for workshops and training modules on menstrual health, SRHR, and life‑skills.
• Prepare visual reports, infographics, and presentations for donors, partners, and annual reports.
• Maintain and strengthen Shequal’s brand identity across all digital and physical assets.
• Collaborate with program, communications, and fundraising teams to plan content calendars and campaigns.
• Manage and organise design files and a shared asset library.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Multimedia, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of professional graphic design experience.
• Ability to design in both Nepali (Devanagari) and English typography.
• Sensitivity to portraying women, girls, and marginalized communities with dignity.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign (or equivalents).
• Video editing skills including colour correction and subtitle creation.
• Knowledge of animation or motion‑graphics (illustration and character animation a plus).
• Design for social‑media formats and print production.
