Health and Nutrition Coordinator

About the role

This position will lead health and nutrition activities in the Nepal Flash Flood Response project and the RISE project, responding to emergency needs and functionalising health, nutrition and hygiene (WASH) interventions. The role ensures technically sound programming of World Vision and partner NGOs while complying with organisational standards, government policies and humanitarian norms.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor partner NGOs’ health, nutrition and hygiene programme quality and delivery.
• Provide technical and functional support for quality health, nutrition and hygiene programming.
• Lead emergency nutrition actions including IYCF‑E, screening, management of MAM and referral of SAM cases, community mobilisation and integrated health‑WASH interventions.
• Coordinate with government authorities, UN agencies, INGOs and cluster mechanisms.
• Develop annual technical support plans, tools, benchmarks and guidance for emergency and development contexts.
• Provide technical leadership for nutrition interventions such as Positive Deviance Hearth, MAM management, maternal health and integrated WASH activities.
• Conduct community awareness sessions on personal, household and environmental hygiene and safe water handling.
• Support capacity development of health operations and management committees at local health facilities.
• Ensure accurate, timely collection, analysis and reporting of nutrition‑related data and support digital monitoring systems (e.g., SORMAS, 5Ws reporting).
