Host/Hostess – Guest Reception Role

About the role

The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests at Roadhouse’s Kathmandu locations. Working full‑time on‑site, you will create a welcoming atmosphere, manage the flow of diners and support the service team to ensure smooth operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the waiting list.
• Handle reservations, answer phone inquiries and provide clear information about menus, promotions and special events.
• Coordinate seating arrangements and communicate guest needs to serving and kitchen staff.
• Maintain a clean and inviting reception area throughout the shift.
• Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, representing the Roadhouse brand.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service and interpersonal abilities to interact with diverse guests.
• Excellent communication and phone etiquette.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure, multitask and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Reliable attendance with a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Fluency in English and Nepali; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency.
• Familiarity with reservation or POS systems.
