HR Officer – Payroll Specialist

About the role

The HR Officer (Payroll) is a full-time, on-site position based in Kathmandu. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes, including data collection, salary computation, statutory deductions, and timely disbursement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processes and ensure timely salary disbursement.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with local labor laws and company HR policies.
• Collaborate with finance to reconcile payroll data.
• Handle employee queries related to compensation and benefits.
• Support onboarding and off‑boarding documentation.
• Assist in preparing job descriptions and HR reports.
• Contribute to employee‑relations initiatives and HR process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Human Resources and HR Management with experience in core HR operations.
• 5‑6 years of relevant experience, including payroll administration and employee relations.
• Proven ability to develop and update job descriptions aligned with organizational structure.
• Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant HR certifications are a plus.
• Experience in HR consulting or multi‑client environments is advantageous.

Required skills
