Junior Accountant – Entry Level Finance Role

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our finance team at the head office in Chapali, Budhanilkantha. The role involves supporting daily financial operations, maintaining accurate records, and assisting senior staff with month‑end and year‑end activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions such as sales, purchases, expenses, receipts and payments.
• Maintain up‑to‑date accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Use accounting software/ERP for entries, invoicing, payments and financial record management.
• Prepare sales invoices, purchase bills, payment vouchers, receipts and journal entries.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
• Perform regular bank, cash and ledger reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Help with VAT, TDS and other tax documentation and filings.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables and follow up on pending transactions.
• Assist in payroll processing and provide records for internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Practical experience using accounting software/ERP systems.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Basic understanding of VAT, TDS, taxation and accounting principles.
