Junior Business Development Officer

About the role

Nepex Cargo is seeking a Junior Business Development Officer to join its Kathmandu team. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, supporting client acquisition, and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers in the cargo logistics sector.

Key responsibilities

• Research potential markets and prepare proposals and quotations for prospective clients.
• Assist in pricing discussions and coordinate with operations and finance to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Conduct regular follow‑ups with customers, respond to inquiries, and provide basic customer service support for cargo shipments.
• Collect and analyse sales data, contribute to sales reports, and support marketing initiatives to promote Nepex Cargo’s services.

Required profile

• Strong new‑business development and customer‑service skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Good analytical abilities and basic finance knowledge to support pricing and revenue tracking.
• Effective written and verbal communication for interacting with clients and internal teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Commerce or a related field preferred; ability to work on‑site in Kathmandu and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
