Junior Business Development Officer

About the role

The Junior Business Development Officer will work full‑time on‑site in Kathmandu, focusing on identifying new business opportunities and supporting sales activities for BillSil’s platform targeting cafes, restaurants, kirana pasals and retailers.

Key responsibilities

• Research target markets and identify prospective clients.
• Engage prospects through calls, meetings and product demos.
• Maintain relationships with existing customers to encourage continued platform use.
• Gather feedback from businesses and collaborate with internal teams to refine the offering.
• Prepare basic reports on sales pipelines and market trends.
• Assist with customer onboarding, provide product information and support.

Required profile

• Strong new‑business development and customer‑service abilities.
• Solid analytical skills and basic understanding of finance.
• Effective verbal and written communication in local languages and English.
• Comfortable using mobile and digital tools and quick to learn software features.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Previous sales or business‑development experience or internships are an advantage.
• Knowledge of Nepal’s retail, food‑service or small‑business landscape is beneficial.
• Self‑motivated, organized and able to work collaboratively in a fast‑moving startup environment.
