Lending Operations Officer

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Lending Operations Officer to join our Australian mortgage service provider’s remote team. The role involves managing loan applications from entry through credit assessment while ensuring compliance and smooth stakeholder communication.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain loan applications in the CRM/Loan Tracker system, ensuring accurate data entry.
• Organise electronic client files in OneDrive, applying consistent naming conventions and record‑keeping practices.
• Review applications and supporting documents for completeness, accuracy and lender compliance, including AML/CTF and identity verification.
• Liaise with brokers to obtain missing information, issue documentation requests and provide ongoing support via email and phone.
• Coordinate property valuations: obtain quotes, issue invoices, collect fees, arrange inspections and file completed reports.
• Progress approved applications to the Credit Assessment stage, meeting all processing milestones within required timeframes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, management or a related field (preferred).
• At least 1 year of Australian mortgage processing, lending administration or banking experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to verify documentation accurately.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and cloud‑based document management systems.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet service‑level expectations.
