Mechanical Engineer

About the role

InfraPro Construction is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join its hydropower plant team in Taplejung, Nepal. The role involves operating, maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical equipment to support reliable plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, maintain and troubleshoot mechanical equipment and systems in hydropower plants.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of Francis turbine‑generator units and associated auxiliary systems.
• Monitor turbine mechanical system condition and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Inspect and maintain turbine auxiliaries, bearings, seals, valves and hydraulic systems.
• Support root‑cause analysis of mechanical equipment failures.
• Coordinate with electrical, civil and other technical teams to ensure efficient plant operation.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and documentation while ensuring safety compliance.
