Mechanical Supervisor

About the role

The Mechanical Supervisor will ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and reliability of critical process and utility equipment in an industrial setting. This hands‑on position supports installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of mechanical systems to maximise plant efficiency and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise process equipment such as distillation columns, evaporators, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, boilers and turbines.
• Oversee utility systems including steam, cooling towers, air compressors, water‑treatment and reverse‑osmosis plants.
• Supervise diesel‑generator sets, load management and fuel consumption monitoring.
• Ensure reliable operation of production and packaging lines (fillers, cappers, labeling, shrink‑wrapping, carton packaging).
• Conduct mechanical analysis, inspections and testing to verify performance, durability and safety standards.
• Develop and execute preventive and corrective maintenance plans to minimise downtime.
• Lead emergency breakdown response, coordinate troubleshooting and restore operations safely.
• Support equipment design, selection, technical evaluation and preparation of engineering specifications.
• Monitor site installations, foundations and structural works for compliance with drawings and safety standards.
• Prepare project plans, track progress and report status to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE or B.Tech).
• More than 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, industrial operations or plant engineering.
• Strong communication, leadership and reporting abilities.
