Module Leader – Mathematics for Computing

About the role

The Module Leader – Mathematics for Computing is a full‑time, on‑site position at Ace International Business School in Kathmandu. The role involves planning, delivering, and continuously improving a Mathematics for Computing module that meets both AIBS and Queen Margaret University academic standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver, and review lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions covering discrete mathematics, logic, algorithms and quantitative reasoning.
• Create assessment materials, grade student work, and provide constructive feedback.
• Offer academic advising and hold consultation hours to support learner progress.
• Maintain up‑to‑date teaching resources and integrate relevant computing applications.
• Participate in curriculum development, quality‑assurance processes and academic meetings.
• Collaborate with faculty and administration to ensure a positive learning experience and strong student outcomes.

Required profile

• Strong academic background in Mathematics, Computing or a closely related field; a master’s degree or higher is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience teaching mathematics or computing‑related modules at undergraduate level, ideally in an international or collaborative programme.
• Ability to design clear lesson plans, learning outcomes and assessment tasks aligned with accreditation requirements.
• Proficiency in applying mathematical concepts to computing, including discrete mathematics, logic and algorithms.
• Effective classroom management, student engagement and inclusive, learner‑centred teaching approach.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Competence in using educational technologies, learning management systems and digital tools for teaching and assessment.
• Commitment to academic integrity, continuous professional development and collaborative departmental activities.
