Officer, Logistics and Fleet

About the role

The Officer, Logistics and Fleet will oversee the IFRC vehicle fleet in Nepal, ensuring compliance with global fleet policies and delivering safe, cost‑effective transport services for humanitarian operations, including the Flash Flood 2026 response.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all IFRC and integrated partner fleet assets, optimizing size, model mix, utilization and operational costs.
• Maintain accurate data in the fleet management system, including mileage, fuel, maintenance, accidents and financial records.
• Plan and allocate driver resources, using route‑planning tools to minimise costs and meet program needs.
• Coordinate vehicle inspection, servicing and repairs with service providers and the workshop manager.
• Prepare transport mission requests, driver per‑diems and ensure appropriate vehicle‑driver pairing.
• Produce regular fleet reports on utilization, maintenance, fuel usage and cost recovery.

Required profile

• Strong ability to identify high‑risk areas and implement risk‑management controls.
• Experience supervising drivers, dispatchers and fleet assistants, including training, coaching and performance appraisal.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Fleet Wave system and other fleet management software.
• Use of route‑planning tools for efficient vehicle deployment.
