Operations Trainee (One‑year Fixed‑Term Traineeship)

About the role

World Vision International Nepal offers a one‑year Operations Trainee program for recent Nepali graduates. The role provides hands‑on experience supporting field operations, program management, and logistics across disaster‑management and community‑development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update information‑management systems and databases related to resource management and disaster‑response capacity.
• Enter, amend, and verify data to ensure accurate, readily available information for field teams.
• Generate analytical reports and dashboards to support decision‑making and program monitoring.
• Create communication materials for World Vision platforms and assist with publishing content.
• Support specific project tasks, produce project reports, and ensure compliance with reporting standards.
• Coordinate with partner NGOs and internal units for project implementation, capacity‑building, and GEDSI assessments.
• Assist the Humanitarian Emergency Response team in preparedness activities.
• Provide administrative and logistical support to field operations and organize internal events.

Required profile

• Recent graduate from a Nepali university, eager to start a career in humanitarian operations.
• Strong interest in disaster management, community development, and gender‑equity inclusion.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and partners.
• Good command of English and Nepali for reporting and communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency in data entry and basic computer applications (e.g., spreadsheets, database tools).
