Paralegal Expert

About the role

We are seeking a Paralegal Subject Matter Expert to work remotely on an hourly contractor basis. In this position you will review AI‑generated legal support responses, create high‑quality paralegal content, and provide precise written feedback to improve AI reasoning and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI training content, including detailed prompts, document templates, checklists, research summaries and drafting examples.
• Evaluate and rank AI responses to enhance correctness, clarity, formatting and procedural usefulness.
• Test AI outputs for inaccuracies, misleading certainty, confidentiality risks and bias, ensuring reliability across legal support use cases.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies or a related field; paralegal certification is a plus.
• 4+ years of professional experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in a law firm, in‑house department or public sector.
• Strong command of legal support workflows such as intake, fact gathering, document drafting, version control and matter organization.
• Proven experience with legal research and summarising authorities (cases, statutes, regulations) accurately.
• Familiarity with litigation processes (pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, motion practice) or transactional workflows (contracts, corporate filings) as applicable.
• Exceptional attention to detail, spotting inconsistencies, missing facts, formatting issues and ambiguous wording; minimum C1 English proficiency.
• Comfort handling confidential information and working under confidentiality requirements.
• Reliable, self‑directed and able to deliver consistent quality in a remote, hourly contractor workflow across time zones.
• Prior experience with AI data training/annotation, document QA, legal ops or editorial review is strongly preferred.
