Procurement Manager for Hydropower Projects

About the role

BG Group is developing multiple hydropower projects across Nepal and seeks an experienced Procurement Manager to lead procurement operations, develop material supply schedules, and ensure compliance with group policies and lender requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and regularly update project‑level and group‑wide procurement plans covering civil works, equipment, materials and services.
• Manage the end‑to‑end procurement cycle: RFQs, negotiations, purchase orders, customs clearance and import documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to finalize technical specifications, BOQs and delivery requirements.
• Develop detailed construction material procurement and delivery schedules aligned with contractors’ work programs.
• Oversee contract administration, warehouse operations and quarterly inventory audits at all sites.
• Maintain auditable procurement records, prepare monthly status reports and ensure transparency and fairness in all processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of procurement experience in large‑scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑project procurement, vendor databases and material logistics.
• Strong knowledge of public procurement laws, lender guidelines and contract management.
