Program Officer – Training & Employment

About the role

The Program Officer will support the planning, implementation and monitoring of KUSHAL training, on‑the‑job training (OJT) and employment activities. Reporting to the Program Manager/Managing Director, the role ensures smooth participant mobilisation, placement and graduation while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning, implementation and monitoring of KUSHAL training, OJT and employment activities.
• Coordinate participant mobilisation, screening, enrollment, orientation and graduation processes, ensuring adherence to approved work plans.
• Facilitate trainings, workshops, meetings, review sessions and exposure visits, and track trainee attendance, progress and completion.
• Maintain effective coordination with local governments, training providers, employers and community stakeholders, and support tripartite agreements.
• Organise coordination meetings, document decisions and strengthen partnerships with OJT host organisations.
• Coordinate trainee placement in OJT, monitor performance, provide follow‑up support and link graduates to employment or self‑employment opportunities.
• Conduct regular monitoring visits to training centres and OJT sites, collect and verify beneficiary data, and prepare activity, monitoring and progress reports.
• Support the MEAL officer in data collection, quality assurance and documentation of success stories, case studies and lessons learned.
• Ensure compliance with CNF’s code of conduct, safeguarding policies and promote ethical, transparent engagement with all stakeholders.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in program implementation, coordination and monitoring within training or employment projects.
• Proven ability to work with local government bodies, training institutions and private‑sector partners.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple processes such as enrollment, OJT placement and graduation.
• Familiarity with monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEAL) processes and reporting standards.
• Commitment to safeguarding principles and ethical stakeholder engagement.
