Project Manager – Road Construction (Birtamode)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead road and highway construction projects in Birtamode, overseeing planning, execution, supervision and hand‑over. The role ensures on‑site delivery, contract administration, coordination with authorities and clients, and strict quality, safety and cost control.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage project work plans, schedules and resource mobilisation.
• Supervise day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring work follows approved drawings, specifications and BOQ.
• Monitor progress, report milestones and prepare daily, weekly and monthly status reports.
• Administer construction contracts, process extensions of time, variation orders and force‑majeure notices.
• Coordinate with road divisions, consultants, supervising engineers and government bodies for approvals and right‑of‑way clearance.
• Prepare and verify running bills, measurement books and cost reports; track budgets and flag variances.
• Plan mobilisation of equipment (excavators, rollers, breakers) and manage labour, material procurement and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations and risk management procedures.
• Represent the company in site meetings, inspections and dispute resolution.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing road or highway construction projects from mobilisation to hand‑over.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, government regulations and right‑of‑way processes.
• Ability to prepare and analyse project schedules, budgets and progress reports.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with engineers, authorities and community stakeholders.
