Job description

About the role

We need a quality lead for penstock fabrication and erection on a hydropower package. The role will start at our Birgunj plant and then set up QC at the site yard in Dolakha district.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
  • Qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) to ASME IX / IS 2825.
  • Run welder qualification programs.
  • Coordinate non‑destructive testing (NDT) and third‑party inspection.
  • Manage non‑conformance reports (NCRs) and quality dossiers.

Required profile

  • B.E. or Diploma in Mechanical/Welding Engineering.
  • 5+ years of QA/QC experience in penstock or pressure vessel fabrication.
  • CSWIP 3.1 or ASNT Level II certification preferred.

Required skills

  • QAP and ITP preparation.
  • WPS/PQR qualification to ASME IX / IS 2825.
  • Welder qualification procedures.
  • NDT coordination and third‑party inspection.
  • Management of NCRs and quality dossiers.
  • CSWIP 3.1 certification.
  • ASNT Level II certification.
