Sales Executive – Travel & Tourism

About the role

The Sales Executive will work full‑time on‑site in Kathmandu, driving new business and managing existing client relationships for a leading Nepalese tour operator. The role involves generating leads, preparing customised travel proposals and converting enquiries into confirmed bookings while ensuring a seamless customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively generate leads and build relationships with individual travelers, travel agents and corporate clients.
• Respond promptly to customer queries, prepare tailored travel proposals and quotations.
• Follow up on prospects, maintain accurate records in the sales system and CRM.
• Collaborate with operations and reservations teams to align itineraries with client expectations.
• Participate in promotional activities, gather market insights and suggest improvements to sales processes.

Required profile

• Proven sales, client relationship management and negotiation experience, preferably in travel, tourism or hospitality.
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities with attention to detail.
• Experience using CRM tools, email and common office software for tracking leads and reporting.
• Good understanding of domestic and international travel products, especially tours, treks and adventure experiences in Nepal and the region.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and maintain a professional, service‑oriented approach.
• Motivation to meet and exceed sales targets and a bachelor’s degree in Business, Tourism Management, Marketing or a related field.
