Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our reputable trading company in Tokha, Kathmandu. The role involves managing the full spectrum of accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting compliance with statutory requirements. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely financial reporting and provide insights for strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with VAT, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
• Process journal entries and maintain the general ledger using DBS Software.
• Coordinate with auditors and assist in financial audits.
• Monitor daily financial transactions and support management with financial analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Hands‑on experience working with DBS Accounting Software is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and bank reconciliation.
• Good command of MS Excel and other accounting tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
