Senior Canada Study Counsellor

About the role

The Senior Canada Counsellor works from our Kathmandu office, providing personalised guidance to Nepali students who wish to study in Canada. The role involves assessing academic profiles, recommending suitable programmes and institutions, and supporting the entire admission and visa process.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct one‑on‑one counselling sessions and group information seminars about Canadian education pathways.
• Assist students in preparing application documents, scholarship applications, and visa paperwork.
• Stay up‑to‑date with Canadian university admission criteria, immigration policies and scholarship opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal application and visa teams to ensure smooth processing and timely follow‑up.
• Maintain records of student progress and respond promptly to queries.

Required profile

• Strong counselling and advisory experience, preferably in international education or immigration consulting.
• In‑depth knowledge of Canadian higher‑education systems, admission requirements and student‑visa regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to explain complex processes clearly and empathetically.
• Proven organisational abilities with attention to detail in documentation and compliance.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues, institutional partners and external stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
• Fluency in English; Nepali language skills are an asset.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education, Management, Social Sciences or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
