Senior Databricks Data Scientist

About the role

Dlytica AI is seeking a senior‑level Data Scientist to lead advanced analytics on the Databricks platform. The position is full‑time, on‑site in Nepal, and focuses on building scalable pipelines, machine‑learning models, and data‑driven solutions for clients and internal products.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end data science solutions on Databricks, including scalable pipelines and optimized workflows.
• Develop, train, validate, and deploy machine‑learning models into production environments.
• Perform exploratory data analysis and create interactive dashboards to communicate insights.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional product and solution teams to translate business requirements into analytical tasks.
• Ensure data quality and contribute to data‑architecture decisions.
• Mentor junior data scientists and support their technical growth.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in data science, statistics, and applied machine‑learning techniques.
• Proficiency in data analytics, visualization, and translating business questions into actionable insights.
• Hands‑on expertise with Databricks, Apache Spark, and distributed processing on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Advanced programming skills in Python or Scala, using common ML and data‑manipulation libraries.
• Knowledge of data‑engineering concepts such as ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
• Excellent communication in English and ability to work collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
