Senior HR Officer – Kathmandu

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Senior HR Officer who can independently manage and oversee the organization’s complete HR and administrative functions. The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of HR operations, payroll, SSF, tax/TDS, recruitment, employee relations, HR policies, compliance, and performance management and be capable of handling HR matters with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Manage overall HR operations and administration, develop and maintain HR policies, procedures and systems.
• Oversee monthly payroll processing, salary adjustments, deductions, SSF, TDS and ensure timely statutory compliance.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding, and maintain recruitment records.
• Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, performance appraisals and support employee engagement initiatives.
• Administer the complete employee lifecycle including contracts, promotions, transfers, increments and exit formalities.
• Provide HR insights, reports and recommendations to senior management and coordinate with external authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on HR experience, preferably in trading, manufacturing, FMCG or similar sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Nepalese labour laws, statutory compliance and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities with strong organizational skills.
