Senior Laravel Developer

About the role

We are seeking a fast‑moving, output‑oriented Senior Laravel Developer to join our Kathmandu team. You will own feature development from requirement gathering through production, delivering high‑quality code quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and existing codebases to design robust solutions.
• Build, test, and ship production‑ready Laravel features.
• Maintain and improve existing services, APIs, and background jobs.
• Collaborate with the team using AI‑assisted tools to boost productivity.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimise database queries.

• Strong execution mindset with ability to deliver quickly.
• Self‑starter who takes ownership without constant supervision.
• Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills.
• Effective communicator who raises blockers early.
• Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and delivering measurable output.

Required skills

• PHP 8.2+ and Laravel 10/11/12.
• Eloquent ORM, Query Builder, Service Container, Dependency Injection.
• Livewire, Filament, Events, Listeners, Observers.
• Queues, Jobs, Batches, Scheduler/Cron, Notifications.
• REST API development, Laravel Sanctum, third‑party API integration, Webhooks.
• PostgreSQL, MySQL, complex SQL, JSON/JSONB, performance analysis.
• Docker, Docker‑Compose, Nginx, Redis, Linux, Git, CI/CD pipelines.
• Testing with PHPUnit or Pest, feature and API testing.
• Security best practices: authentication, authorization, input validation, CSRF/XSS/SQL‑i prevention.
• Experience with AI development tools (Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) for code assistance.
