Senior Project Coordinator – UPLIFT Project

About the role

The Senior Project Coordinator will lead the UPLIFT Project, building on the successes of the POWER 4 AY initiative. Reporting to the Head of Field Program Operations and working closely with the Livelihoods Specialist, the role ensures high‑quality, results‑oriented implementation across government, NGO and private‑sector partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans, budgets and timelines, ensuring alignment with Save the Children Italy donor requirements.
• Coordinate cross‑functional support functions (Finance, Logistics, MEAL, etc.) at field and country levels to guarantee timely and effective implementation.
• Lead private‑sector engagement, including partnerships with business incubators, to enhance youth employability through vocational training and micro‑enterprise development.
• Monitor project performance, conduct field visits, and ensure compliance with SCI and donor policies, preparing regular progress and quality review reports.
• Facilitate partnership management with government agencies, NGOs and private entities to maximize impact and sustainability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior‑level project coordination or program management within the humanitarian or development sector.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial monitoring and donor compliance procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to work with multi‑stakeholder environments, including government, NGOs and private‑sector partners.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills, with experience preparing high‑quality project documentation.
• Ability to travel within the field region and conduct regular on‑site monitoring.
