Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to build a practical, scalable quality strategy for a complex ERP and financial workflows product. The role focuses on end‑to‑end automation, API validation, batch‑process verification, and data‑integrity checks across UI, API, and database layers.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust end‑to‑end automation in Playwright for critical ERP and financial user journeys.
• Design API automation covering request/response validation, schema checks, error handling and rate‑limiting.
• Create source‑to‑target data validation, accounting integrity checks, and reconciliation across database, API and UI layers.
• Automate verification of scheduled jobs, asynchronous processes, retries, output artifacts and process‑log validation.
• Develop reusable approaches for database migration checks, ETL‑style validation and large‑scale table comparison.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to improve release confidence and feedback speed.
• Leverage LLM tools for test‑case drafting, log summarisation, bug‑report generation and edge‑case discovery with human review.

Required profile

• 5+ years of QA or test‑automation experience with ownership of automation strategy or framework design.
• Strong experience testing complex ERP, fintech or data‑heavy systems with batch processes and business‑rule complexity.
• Practical use of AI tools in QA workflows such as generating test cases, summarising logs or improving defect reports.

Required skills

• Playwright (or similar modern UI automation framework).
• API and microservices testing, including negative‑path validation.
• SQL for data consistency, reconciliation and migration validation.
• Python (or comparable scripting language) for log parsing and utility development.
• CI/CD pipeline integration and automation optimisation.
• LLM/AI tools for test design and log analysis.
• Visual regression tools (e.g., Applitools, Argos) and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Postman).
