Senior Sales Manager – FMCG

About the role

Caro Group of Companies is looking for a senior‑level sales professional to lead the growth of Caro Foods’ fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) business. The role combines market analysis, channel development and the creation of a high‑performing sales organisation from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales and business development strategies for Caro Foods.
• Conduct market research and structured FMCG surveys to identify opportunities, customer needs and trends.
• Build and nurture relationships with distributors, retailers, institutional buyers and corporate clients.
• Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities and expand distribution channels.
• Lead commercial negotiations, customer engagements and provide market intelligence to senior management.
• Prepare sales forecasts, pipelines, performance reports and KPIs.
• Establish sales processes, systems and scale the sales team as the business grows.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of progressive experience in FMCG, including senior sales, business development or commercial roles.
• Strong understanding of FMCG markets, distribution networks and channel dynamics.
• Proven ability to develop markets, customers and commercial relationships.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship‑management skills.
• Experience in sales planning, forecasting, reporting and performance management.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ownership and ability to thrive in a growth‑oriented environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management or related field; MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
