SEO Trainee – Hands‑On Digital Marketing Experience

About the role

We are seeking a motivated SEO Trainee to join our digital marketing team. This position offers practical, hands‑on experience across all core SEO disciplines while you develop the skills needed to boost website visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research and uncover search opportunities.
• Assist with on‑page optimisation (title tags, meta descriptions, headings, URLs, internal linking, content).
• Support off‑page activities such as backlink research, link‑building outreach, and competitor backlink analysis.
• Perform basic technical SEO audits, identifying crawl, indexing, speed, and mobile‑usability issues.
• Help optimise local SEO, including Google Business Profile, citations, NAP consistency, and local keyword research.
• Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, and overall site performance.
• Conduct competitor and SERP analysis.
• Contribute to SEO content planning based on search intent.
• Use SEO tools to gather data, spot opportunities, and prepare simple reports.
• Stay up‑to‑date with Google algorithm changes and best practices, including emerging AEO and GEO concepts.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 months of SEO experience or demonstrable practical knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree or current studies in Digital Marketing, Marketing, IT, Business, Communications or a related field.
• Relevant SEO certifications, personal projects, blogs or proven SEO work are a plus.

Required skills

• On‑page SEO, off‑page SEO, technical SEO, local SEO.
• Keyword research, link building, competitor analysis, SEO content optimisation.
• Familiarity with AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation).
• Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics/GA4, Google Keyword Planner, Google Trends, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog.
• Basic understanding of HTML and website structure.
