Service Advisor – Automotive After‑Sales

About the role

The Service Advisor acts as the primary liaison between customers and the service department of an automobile dealership. You will understand customer concerns, prepare estimates, coordinate repairs, and ensure high satisfaction throughout the service process.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, capture vehicle service and repair requirements, and record complaints accurately.
• Prepare job cards, repair orders and cost estimates, and explain recommended work and pricing to customers.
• Coordinate with workshop technicians to ensure timely, accurate completion of repairs and maintenance.
• Monitor repair progress, keep customers informed, and conduct vehicle delivery with a clear explanation of work performed.
• Handle inquiries, complaints and service‑related concerns professionally, promoting value‑added services and genuine spare parts.
• Process warranty claims, manage service documentation, and ensure proper invoicing and payment collection.
• Maintain customer records and service history in the dealership management system, and follow up post‑service to gather feedback.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in automotive service, customer service or dealership operations (preferred).
• Basic understanding of automobile systems and maintenance procedures.
• Proficiency with computer applications and dealership/service management software.
