Shift In-charge – Feed Industry

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Shift In‑charge to lead the production floor of our feed manufacturing plant in Lipani, Birgunj. The successful candidate will oversee all shift activities, ensuring smooth operations, safety compliance, and achievement of production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all production activities during the assigned shift to maintain uninterrupted plant operations.
• Meet daily production targets in line with operational plans and quality standards.
• Monitor process parameters, identify deviations and implement corrective actions to ensure product consistency.
• Lead, guide and motivate shift personnel to maximise productivity and foster a positive work environment.
• Enforce Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and promote a safety‑first culture on the shop floor.
• Collaborate with the Quality Control team to verify that finished products meet specifications.
• Maintain accurate shift records, including production logs, downtime and incident reports.
• Facilitate smooth handovers between shifts by communicating operational updates and issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 2‑3 years of experience in a feed manufacturing unit or a similar industrial setting.
• In‑depth knowledge of solvent extraction processes and plant operations.
• Familiarity with ISO standards, Statistical Process Control (SPC), PQRS and quality‑control protocols.
• Strong leadership, team‑management and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain high attention to detail.
