Social Media Expert – Remote Contractor

About the role

We are seeking a Social Media Subject Matter Expert to evaluate and improve AI‑generated social content. This hourly, remote contractor position supports our AI data services team by ensuring brand‑aligned, engaging, and accurate social outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Create detailed prompts and gold‑standard social media outputs (posts, threads, scripts, calendars, strategy notes) for AI training.
• Evaluate, rank, and provide written feedback on AI‑generated content for clarity, platform fit, brand voice, and compliance.
• Identify and flag messaging issues, misleading claims, policy risks, and community‑safety concerns.
• Fact‑check claims and write high‑quality explanations and model posts that demonstrate strong social‑first writing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years managing social media for brands, with hands‑on content creation and performance reporting.
• Deep knowledge of platform mechanics and best practices across Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
• Experience with content operations such as calendars, creative briefs, and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Ability to assess content for risk, policy violations, and brand safety, with strong analytical instincts.
• Minimum C1 English proficiency and excellent written communication skills.
