Sponsorship Officer – Mahottari

About the role

World Vision Nepal is seeking a Sponsorship Officer to manage and support child sponsorship activities in Mahottari district. The role involves operating Horizon Hope systems, ensuring data quality, and fostering effective communication between sponsors and registered children.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and regularly update all Sponsorship Systems, ensuring timely data entry and synchronization of Horizon Hope mobile devices.
• Maintain data quality, validation, and consolidation for the Auto‑APR process and generate regular reports for supervisors.
• Manage sponsorship KPI reporting, including CMS, SOI and death reports, and reconcile discrepancies.
• Engage with partner NGOs to manage RC (Resource Child) records, ensuring accurate creation, re‑activation and de‑duplication of child IDs.
• Facilitate sponsor‑child communication, oversee rich‑media content, and capture transformational stories for donor updates.
• Support capacity‑building trainings for district staff and partner organizations on sponsorship standards and child protection.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in a development or sponsorship‑focused role, preferably in rural Nepal.
• Bachelor’s degree in social science, development studies, sociology, international relations or a related field.
• Demonstrated facilitation and training skills, with strong presentation and communication abilities.
• Fluency in English and Nepali, with high integrity and risk‑management awareness.
