Ticketing Officer

About the role

The Ticketing Officer handles domestic and international air ticket reservations, issuance, re‑issuance, cancellations, refunds and provides customer support. The role demands accurate booking management, solid knowledge of airline fare rules and reservation systems, and professional service to passengers traveling to or within Nepal.

Key responsibilities

• Process domestic and international flight reservations and ticketing using GDS platforms.
• Search and present suitable airfares, schedules, routes and travel options based on customer needs.
• Create, update and manage Passenger Name Records (PNRs) accurately.
• Issue, re‑issue, reroute, void, cancel tickets and process refunds in line with airline fare rules.
• Coordinate with airlines regarding bookings, schedule changes, refunds and ticketing issues.
• Inform passengers about baggage allowance, check‑in requirements, flight schedules, transit information and airline policies.
• Assist customers with date changes, cancellations, missed flights and other booking‑related concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of reservations, ticket sales, refunds and related transactions.
• Prepare daily or periodic ticketing and sales reports.
• Handle customer payments and work with the Accounts Department for reconciliation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or +2/Intermediate with relevant experience in Travel & Tourism, Management, Hospitality or related field.
• Training or certification in airline ticketing, fares or GDS systems preferred; prior experience in a travel agency, airline or ticketing role is an advantage.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre or similar GDS platforms.
• Understanding of airline fares, routing, re‑issuance, cancellation, refund and baggage rules.
• Good verbal and written communication in Nepali and English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email and internet‑based booking portals.
