Travel Sales Executive

About the role

The Travel Sales Executive is a full‑time, on‑site position in Kathmandu, responsible for selling domestic and international tour packages, flights, hotels and other travel services to both individual and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to client inquiries and prepare customised quotations and itineraries.
• Follow up leads and convert them into confirmed bookings.
• Manage customer communication via phone, email and face‑to‑face interactions.
• Coordinate with operations teams and partner agencies to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Process accurate documentation and payments for all bookings.
• Maintain and update client records and relationships.
• Identify new business opportunities and promote special offers to meet sales targets.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve any client issues promptly.

Required profile

• Strong sales, negotiation and customer service abilities.
• Ability to build trust and long‑term client relationships.
• Knowledge of travel products such as tour packages, air ticketing, hotel bookings and travel insurance.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Nepali; additional languages are a plus.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications, reservation systems and online booking platforms.
• Capacity to work in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment with solid organisational and time‑management skills.
• Prior experience in travel, tourism, hospitality or sales is preferred, though motivated fresh applicants are considered.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Travel & Tourism, Business, Hospitality or a related field is beneficial.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, based on business needs.
