UI/UX Design Intern – Skill Development Program

About the role

Sajilo Life is offering a one‑year UI/UX Design Intern/Trainee position as part of its Skill Development Program. You will work on real software and digital products, gaining hands‑on experience in research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, design systems, usability testing, and product development while building professional skills.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in user research, surveys, interviews, and usability testing; document requirements, pain points, and insights.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma or similar tools; design intuitive, accessible, and visually appealing interfaces.
• Support the development and maintenance of design systems and component libraries; collaborate with developers for accurate implementation.
• Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand business and user needs; participate in design reviews and handoff activities.
• Maintain design documentation, version histories, and prepare presentations or reports for stakeholders.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Good organizational and time‑management skills.
• Willingness to learn, take ownership, and collaborate in a team environment.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of UI/UX design principles and Design Thinking.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Knowledge of wireframing, prototyping, user flows, and information architecture.
• Understanding of responsive and mobile‑first design, typography, color theory, spacing, layout, and visual hierarchy.
• Awareness of accessibility and usability concepts.
• Basic HTML/CSS knowledge (advantage) and familiarity with design systems/component‑based design.
